EUREPGAP takes a further step in harmonisation of requirements for producers: QS Germany completes Benchmark with EurepGAP
in Fruit and Vegetables
EurepGAP is pleased to announce that QS Qualität and Sicherheit GmbH, Germany, has successfully
completed the EurepGAP Benchmarking process. The formal agreement was
signed in Bonn on 12th September. It means that QS GAP fruit and
vegetable audits are now recognized as fully equivalent to EurepGAP. In
return, QS recognises EurepGAP audits.
Producers will not now be required to have duplicate audits for EurepGAP and QS GAP; rather a single audit is able to fulfill requirements for both schemes.
EurepGAP Secretary, Kristian Moeller said: "We have responded to our members' requests to help simplify arrangements for producers and this is an important step forward. We look forward to continuing our close cooperation with QS in the future to see where we can find further opportunities to harmonize requirements."
