At the International Conference “Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2005” Prof.Dr. B. Hallier pointed to the fact that retail is in the field of tracing and tracking / food safety/good agricultural practice a driving force in the development of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The Ukraine ERA-member Kiev National University of Trade and Economics will immediately start to translate the EUREPGAP-protocol into the Ukraine language. Parallel to this Kiev University will become the nucleus of the Ukraine EUREPGAP Technical Committee. From September 13-17.09. 2006 Kiev University will coordinate the IGWT Symposium, Global Safety of Commodities and Environment.
