Frente a los desafíos que presentan los continuos cambios en la
legislación de Fitosanitarios, el Comité Técnico de Normalización de
EurepGAP ha desarrollado guías para ayudar a agricultores y productores
estar más informados de los Límites Máximos de Residuos (MRLs) vigentes
en los mercados donde será vendido el producto.
Se han introducido cambios para ayudar a los productores estar más
informados de los MRLs vigentes en los países donde será vendido o donde
es probable que sea vendido el producto. Es importante que los
productores puedan demostrar que su producto cumple con los requisitos
del País de Destino, especialmente si el régimen en dicho país es más
estricto que en el del país productor. EurepGAP destaca la importancia
de que exista un control de residuos. Esto brinda mayor seguridad
cuando no se conoce el destino exacto del producto.
Se concederá a los productores un período de transición para
familiarizarse con los nuevos requisitos, por lo que los procedimientos
enmendados recién serán obligatorios dentro del programa de
certificación a partir del 1ro de mayo de 2005. Los cambios han sido
incluidos en la nueva Versión de los Documentos Normativos. Favor

de Cumplimiento.
EurepGAP también ha elaborado una lista de contactos que los
productores podrán utilizar para acceder a información actualizada de
los MRLs. Dicha lista los ayudará afrontar los desafíos que presentan
los requisitos legislativos. Se puede acceder a la misma en el
