Deferral of EurepGAP fee increase

The EurepGAP Board has made a careful assessment for the need for a fee increase in consideration of the transition of EurepGAP to a global certification system.

A fee table was prepared after consulting with members on those priority activities necessary to ensure a sustainable, robust and credible global certification scheme .

However it has become clear that there are some unforeseen difficulties in implementing the new fee structure as well as the  need to take further account of the difficult economic situation of parts of the industry.

In recognising these factors the EurepGAP Board has decided to defer a price increase to 1st January 2007. The revised new fee structure will be simpler to implement and will reflect the comments received from members around the world.

Further information on the fee increase and the reasons for it will take place at the EurepGAP Global conference in Prague on 20-21 September 2006. After final consultation with members the revised fee structure will be published no later than 31st October, following formal approval of the EurepGAP Board at its October meeting.
